@OkDoomers @kimmonismus Disagree. Oversimplification. Builders mostly lose too. Being focused on 'building' something is no *guarantee* of success, just a better shot than not trying at all. So tired of this cult of optimism vs cult of doomerism and neither is remotely balanced or realist.

@kimmonismus Not sure about 'doomerism', and have mixed feelings about AI output, but definitely against the idea of bombing buildings just because you hate AI. AI is a great tool and I have used NeRFs, upscalers, AI depth solvers, etc. But it doesn't fully replace actual people.

@colinwmatthews So *if* that all somehow succeeds others might dismiss it as unexplained luck but it was definitely years of unpaid work leading up to that and some actual strategy involved. All mainly funded with an Etsy print business and $6/hr avg earned there.

@GoodVibePolitik As for stacking the courts, adding more justices, it has been tried historically including by FDR and is widely viewed as unconstitutional. Every time a president pushes for it they get portrayed as anti America, support drops. Which isn't ideal in an election cycle.

@GoodVibePolitik The Supreme Court made the decision with the majority of justices in 2022 and those SC justices were appointed by various presidents prior to Biden. Biden and democrats have not had a Sc opening since that decision got made. In a second term they actually might.

@Ryugujiku @briebriejoy Moreover, we all recall Nader in 2000 siphoning off votes from Gore, like 2% of the vote, which actually tipped that election in favor of Bush and subsequently led to a costly invasion of Iraq that had little rationale as a response to 9/11.

@Ryugujiku @briebriejoy The fear on the left is voting anything other than Democrat is going to result in Trump winning. The notion that Biden sucks but his party is the only choice other than Trump that even has a shot is widespread. The perception sort of becomes its own reality.
