Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown to Bloomberg
“Stellantis told me that as long as there’s tariffs on autos, there’s no business case for auto jobs in Canada,” Brown said. That’s the situation “whether it’s an 8% tariff, a 50% tariff, or 100% tariff,” he added.

'Canada is fraught with insecurity, because the Liberal government has sacrificed the safety of Canadians, in order to pursue its own agenda.'

The same people wailing endlessly in Reddit threads about having to haul their asses to their cozy offices 3 days a week are now going to be our military reservists.
Get outta here.
If you want to be the laughing stock of the world, this is how you do it.
I was never a fan of guns, nor did I fully understand why people felt the need to own them. But in recent years, we have seen just how extreme government actions can become, and how easily and arrogantly boundaries continue to be pushed.
Politicians and public officials are surrounded by armed security. Why? For their safety and security. Police and military forces are equipped with weapons. Why? For their safety and security. To suggest that ordinary citizens should be left defenseless is not only inconsistent, it is dangerously naïve.
The right to bear arms is not simply about sport or tradition, it is about ensuring citizens are not powerless in the face of governments that overreach. History shows that unchecked power leads to abuse, and when trust in institutions is at an all-time low, the ability of people to defend themselves matters more than ever.
Instead of confiscating citizens’ property, public servants should focus on rebuilding trust through accountability, transparency, and respect for rights. Perhaps government leaders could lead the way by giving up their own armed protection first.

Oh god.
A cop just sent me this:
“Another young innocent girl was shot and killed this afternoon.
Not a week after another gun ban. A ban that only targets legal gun owners.
I’m at a loss for words. I’m not sure what else can be done to show this government that their policies continue to fail the very people that they purport to protect”

BREAKING: RBC reports today that it now takes a record-smashing 63.5% of median household PRE-TAX income to make payments on a typical home.
But don’t worry, the guys who made it happen (Trudeau & Fraser) had another photo op today & announced yet another program. This time I’m sure it will work.
