The loan is Dan's golden bridge. It came at the center of his biggest scandal. It allows both sides to back down, save face, and make money.
That's why the league went so easy on Dan.
Also, you've said last summer that you don't see him hanging on > 5 years.
@kevinsheehanDC 1/? My theory is that Goodell and Snyder have an under the table deal that has Dan selling before 2025. The loan from the league was Dan's golden bridge. From Goodell's benefits:
1. He gets rid of his problem owner without bringing it to a vote. Other owners
2. The loan gave a favorable valuation to the wft, which should make all 32 owners happy, as their comps are high.
From Dan's POV:
1. No minority owners = easier to sell.
2. Valuation jacks up the sale price.
3. After the cheerleader scandal dies down, he can leave on his terms
@SheehanPodcast about the Jon Gruden issue:
This all came out of the Wilkinson report allegedly.
Why did the league refuse to release the report, and then let these tidbits leak? Why now?
We now know that Bruce Allen was sending nudes of cheerleaders. What else did they find?
@ChrisPerrrr @PFF_College@PFF_Washington@UKFootball It was strange. The first quarter, he didn't play, and the defense was a 4-2-5. The second quarter, Bostic wasn't out there, and they played a 5-2-4.
They frequently have 5 defensive linemen on the field. Most of the second quarter they were in a 5-2. And it was the defense's best quarter this year. Then the third quarter, it was either 4-2 nickel or 4-3. Broadcasters haven't mentioned it.
@SheehanPodcast keep an eye on what's going on at linebacker. It looks like Jamin Davis and Bostic are alternating quarters almost like it's still preseason.
Unfortunately, the disclaimer (in a completely different tweet nonetheless) won't prevent many Twitter users (Twitterati? Twitterites? Twits?) from reading this as an endorsement.
It should go w/o saying, but it's Twitter, so: That's not an endorsement of his rhetoric. It's only to say that the bosses loved his engagement right up until it became a political liability. Coincidence? I mean, it's possible, but taken w/other political censorship... unlikely.
@materialdesign please, please stop rounding everything. Android 12 is much less useable as information density goes down. Missed C...? Really? From who?
