When I called to inform them, their excuse was that it didn't matter how weak your password is since "the site only stores public information, like the last four of your social and your credit card."

since they don't let you use a real password, your password could be cracked using a regular home computer in a matter or hours. My desktop could brute force a 8 digit number/letter password in just a few MINUTES.

There is no excuse for this company's idiotic decisions when it comes to security. Passwords can't contain special characters, meaning any possible password can be cracked in less than 24 hours. This is disgusting for a financial institution.
