On this Good Friday let us not forget that our relationship w/Jesus should inform our politics because vice versa is idolatry.
To profit off of a bible as a political tool reminds me of a story some of you might know...
“I don’t know if you call them people,” said Trump. “In some cases they’re not people, in my opinion. But I’m not allowed to say that because the radical left says that’s a terrible thing to say.”
Correction, Jesus says that’s a terrible thing to say. Come on Church.
@edstetzer If we’re concerned about coffee getting in the way of how we worship God, the Church has plenty of other things we might want to think about.
First time in 20yrs not being responsible for Easter or Holy Week services as a pastor. While there is plenty I could say about that, I will say…the grave is empty, so Church, start living that way! #Easter
...I put this on church people...we could single-handedly change the relationship our country has w/guns if we could get over ourselves & stop pretending like Jesus cares more about our access to guns than he does about people's access to food, shelter, healthcare, & education.
If your church is not doing a congregational “welcome time,” they better be some of the most outgoing, welcoming church people around…which I’m guessing they’re not…so just do the greeting time!
