The selections for Labour candidates needs to be more democratic and we should end NEC impositions of candidates. Local Party members should select their candidates for every election.
@UKRunChat got Yorkshire Marathon 4 weeks today but currently recovering from injury and haven't run for nearly a week. Any tips for feeling fresh, even if not fully as fit as I was, on race day?
NEW: Keir Starmer has said he hangs the English flag in his home and 'always sits in front of a Union Jack'
He told the BBC: 'I'm very encouraging of flags. I think they're patriotic and a great symbol of our nation.'
Please never stop fighting for this.
I couldn't have contemplated working (or having to) whilst my 2 year old boy was in hospital with cancer earlier in the year.
Luckily our employers were great and supportive, not all are.
This is why Hugh’s Law matters. When your child is critically ill, the only place you should be is here by their side. Not at work. Not filling out forms to keep your job. Just here, holding their hand. Because a 5 year old just wants their Mummy or Daddy.
Parents in hospital with sick children deserve time, protection, and peace of mind not a fight to survive. Last week, Hugh’s Law was pushed aside by just 36 votes. It breaks my heart. But we’re not stopping. This fight isn’t over. Hugh’s Law is not going away.

Some of the takes on 16 year olds voting are just fucking stupid. Apparently all 16 year olds are too thick to vote, well it seems to me that some 50-odd year olds are too thick to also 🤷♂️
