@WildlifeAcoust Here’s an image related to my research generated with this AI prompt "Generate an image including a UK city, bats and acoustic recorders" 🦇🌆

Urban areas are key habitats for the Florida bonneted bat! 🌳 High tree coverage and open spaces in cities support bat activity, especially golf courses. Great to see urban integration in long-term efforts! 🦇 @WildlifeAcoust#BattyForBioacoustics
Great day with @UniOfHull, meeting some of Hull's wildlife lovers, both community groups and individuals, at YWT's Empowerment Day in Hull last Sunday.
Lots of interesting talks and great enthusiasm for the fast approaching #HullCNC2024.
Hull CNC are you ready to go? 🔥
NEYEDC will be attending Molescroft Wildlife Network's 'Hedgehog Highways' event this Saturday, sharing with the network and the wider community how we can support them in making and utilising biological records 🦔 For more info: https://t.co/fSaQgLGGxv
The #HullCNC2024 is just three weeks away! 🤩 Records collected as part of @citnatchallenge in 2023 helped our understanding of biodiversity in Hull, shown by a massive increase in data coverage after the event. For more info on the 2024 event, see: https://t.co/w6MgpybDsE
Fishermen in Vardø are building their own Kittiwake hotels 😊👌 Old fish boxes stacked on top of a storage container. So cool to see the care for nature when many other coastal communities are trying to scare the Kittiwakes away or prevent them from settling. Vardø win ✊
@woodlandbirder @angus_young61 This triangle is an absolute gem in the city for wildlife and appreciated by many local naturalists. I am still waiting for my Common lizard encounter, but I have had lots of great sightings at this spot!
What produced those ultrasonic calls? The Katydid, did! Katydids can create calls by scraping a modified vein, which is like a file, under their right wing (tegmen) against the edge of the left wing, creating a distinctive ultrasonic sound. #PhantomOrthoptera@WildlifeAcoust
On Tuesday Hull hosted the BES workshop on policy in ecology and the theme was Rewilding! We had great speakers discussing rewilding near and far and fantastic discussions around barriers to rewilding in policy

Until we can stop using single use plastics we have to recycle. Species specific bird boxes and otter holes for a project in Hull. @YorksWildlife@Hullccnews@MYGroupRecycles

Final introduction to the @UniOfHull Rewild Cluster PhD team 🌍
I'm Clare Collins (yes, confusing, two Clare C's in the team!), investigating river #rewilding projects. I'm looking at improving models predicting how animal DNA in the environment #eDNA moves downstream 1/3
