@AutisticCallum_ Yes! One of my late high-school maths tests gave us data on how many men, women and children in each passenger class survived the Titanic sinking and asked what we could tell from it. Apparently my socio-economic analysis wasn’t the correct answer. 😅

@wonderartsy @heyitsCoface That’s so great!
I’ve started paying someone to help clean my house, with a requirement that he would mask. He’s always been great with it, but it cracked me up when he told me that my cat is the only one he’s not allergic to. Hadn’t crossed his mind that the mask was why.
@stephanieburgis I’m sorry, that’s dreadful. FWIW, people sharing your tweet brought my attention to your work and now I’ve bought a copy of Improper Magick to get me through a sick day. So thank you for that. 💞
A pair of life sized giraffe engravings over 6metre tall and hewn into a rock about 8000 years ago in the Ténéré desert in the first foothills of the Aïr Mountains, in Africa
each giraffe also has line leading down from its mouth to an engraved human figure below, perhaps symbolic of an ancient relationship that existed between giraffes and humans
@Wiswell All the best with your health 💞
You’re a household name here. My wife hears about it every time you publish a new story because I’ll be so excited to read it.
If you like my tweets (and yes, they're still tweets, spacepillock) and you think others might too, a RT of the tweet above (below?) would help SO MUCH, thankyou xxx

When someone tells you they have not read a famous classic book, instead of saying, “I can’t believe you haven’t read it!”, you can say, “I wish I was you and I could read it again for the first time.”
Instead of making people feel inadequate, show them the joys of reading.
@frabjousday Gideon the Ninth is queer, unique, and unexpectedly lovely at times. I haven’t read Assassin’s Apprentice or Babel, so I can’t compare, but I’d absolutely recommend it.
@frabjousday Iron Widow really threw me in a way few books have. The best I can say without spoilers is that if you’re not liking the tone by 1/4 to 1/2 way but you keep going to give it a chance, consider walking away instead.
That said, I hope you love it!
@charliersmith1 All the best to you, Charlie 💞
This is a currawong that has either come back to nest near me for the fourth summer or a descendent of that first currawong. It’s been very special seeing a little bit of generousity in putting out (bird safe) food turn into years of relationship.
@scienceisc00l I run a team of editors and we share a lot of examples of times when someone reeeeally needed to get and editor to read their thing. Shared this and someone pointed out that it was the Herald Scotland, so it might not have been an oversight 😬
@arghavan_salles This drives me crazy with jewellery! Yes, I’m checking if I can put the bracelet on myself before buying it. No, I don’t want any help. My wife is happy to lend a hand, but I’m not limiting when I can wear my beautiful things to times when someone else can help me put them on.
