Chaired the inaugural Water and Sanitation Sub-Committee meeting under the StateβCounty Implementation Committee established through the cooperation pact between the National Government and the Nairobi City County Government this afternoon.
The Sub-Committee brings together key stakeholders including the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary, Athi Water Works Development Agency, Water Resources Authority, Nema Kenya, Nairobi Rivers Commission, and the Nairobi Water Company.
The meeting focused on the prioritization of immediate, medium, and long-term projects under the agreement, all geared towards improving water supply and sanitation services across Nairobi.
This coordinated approach underscores the commitment to integrated planning, efficient service delivery, and sustainable urban development in the capital city.
Chaired an extraordinary Joint Cabinet and National Development Implementation Committee (NDIC) meeting at the Kenya School of Government, Nairobi.
In reaffirming our shared resolve to build a cohesive, ethical, and high-performing administration that delivers genuine socio-economic transformation for all Kenyans, todayβs session reinforced our collective commitment to national unity, political stability, and inclusive growth under the Broad-Based Government framework. Our focus remains clear, to translate policy into tangible progress that directly improves the lives of every Kenyan.
As we reviewed milestones since the inaugural NDIC meeting held on 26th March 2025, we agreed to intensify our focus, accelerate implementation, and demand measurable results across all flagship programmes under the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA). Every initiative must deliver real impact, to households, communities, and the nationβs economy at large.
Particular attention was given to the Taifa Care Programme, the anchor of our Universal Health Coverage (UHC) under the Social Health Authority (SHA). This transformative initiative has expanded its reach from 8 million members in 2022 to over 27 million by November 2025, reflecting our unwavering commitment to accessible and affordable healthcare for all.
The School Feeding Programme under the education sector continues to yield encouraging outcomes, while key pillars such as affordable housing, infrastructure development, manufacturing, agriculture, the MSME economy, and the Digital Superhighway and Creative Economy are registering steady, positive growth.
Together, we remain steadfast in driving Kenyaβs transformation journey, one milestone, one programme, and one citizen at a time.
@citizentvkenya@YvonneOkwara How about life insurance policies that mature on death of individuals who had subscribed without informing their next of kin. Does UFAA follow up on these?
