It sold a ton of DVD's, was Top 10 on Netflix for a week, inspired a big budget remake, and played all around the world. What a ride. Huge thanks to all my gifted collaborators and the folks who supported the film throughout its amazing run (which still continues)!
In honor of spooky season, we're releasing Ghost From The Machine on YouTube for free! I got the rights back last year (despite the film still being available to purchase, lol), but after 15 great years, it's time to give it away. https://t.co/NCOdY1z8Bn
Note: We shot the film and did our festival run as Phasma Ex Machina, but the distributor asked we change the title to the English translation prior to release. No idea if the name change helped or hurt, but the film did very well (and this poster still hangs proudly on my wall).
In anticipation for our free Ghost From The Machine screening on Thursday night at @TCFilmFest wanted to share this amazing Phasma poster art created by Clint Lugert at TROPE.
15 years ago, Ghost from the Machine was the very first sellout at the very first Twin Cities Film Fest. Now, to celebrate the festival’s 15th anniversary, they’re hosting a FREE screening of the film that started it all.
