The world is broken. We're broken. People sin. Men fail. But Jesus doesn't. Our only hope is to hope in the One who is worthy--the One who will make all things new.
May we cling to the hope of the gospel as we pray for the broken and the hurting. Come quickly, Lord Jesus.
In light of this week's events, these lyrics run through my mind:
"Do you feel the world is broken? We do
Do you feel the shadows deepen? We do
Do you know that all the dark won't stop the light from getting through? We do
Do you wish that you could see it all made new? We do"
"Is all creation groaning? (It is)
Is a new creation coming? (It is)
Is the glory of the Lord to be the light within our midst? (It is)
Is it good that we remind ourselves of this? (It is)"
- @AndrewPeterson, "Is He Worthy"
If the Bible isn't true, then why would you waste your time with it?
But if it is true (and it is), then how could you waste your life without it?

Sometimes you just need a little perspective. No news. No noise. Just clear starry nights and fields in the middle of nowhere.
When I look at the stars, which you set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?
Ps. 8:3-4
Great day at FBC Moultrie today! Not only did we study baptism, but we celebrated it together as a dad baptized his son after leading him to the Lord.
So thankful for what God is doing in our midst! To him be the glory!
We all have days when we feel like we lose the battle to Satan. But the good news is, Christ has already won the war, and Satan's demise is closer than it's ever been (Rev. 19:17-20:10).

Jesus is not some goody-two-shoes spiritual sissy. He is the King of kings, and when he returns, he will no longer be riding a donkey. He'll be riding a white horse on his way to total victory. The question is...will you be riding with him? (Rev. 19:11-16)

1 Kings 17-19. Elijah had highs and lows, moments of triumph and moments of struggle. But through it all, his ministry was marked by this phrase--"and the word of the Lord came to him."
No matter where Elijah was, God spoke, and Elijah listened. May it be so in my life!
