Welcomed this little man into the world after a bit of a scare. Every blessing on this the hottest day of 2024. Collar had to come off tonight. #teamnwas#priestlife
It's stop the bleed day and Years 7 and 8 have been learning how to deal with life threatening injuries via the emergency services. Thanks to Eve, Paul and Matthew for delivering the sessions. #stopthebleed
Huge congratulations to two more pupils who have received our Christian Values certificate. Both pupils live out our Christian vision ‘love one another as Jesus loved us’ each and every day !
A number of St Mary’s pupils show their respect as ‘We Remember’. Our thanks and appreciation to Mr Meaden for playing the Last Post and to Father Matt for the words of remembrance and prayers. A very poignant moment for all involved.
⚠️ We’re currently dealing with a high number of 999 calls and we’re prioritising the most serious emergencies.

Great joy tonight as, two weeks later than planned due to isolating, Gemma, Lisa and Anna were confirmed! A big thank you to @BishMiddleton for coming back again so soon.
Tonight members from the @MothersUnion across all three churches came together for a special Eucharist service at which @JanicePBennett was admitted as a member & Kathryn received her 50 year membership award.
What with limiting factors, sandpit curacies & here come the girls, there's been a lot to make this parish priest feel discouraged recently. But then I look at this lot and all is well. The church is growing one sacrament at a time. #Baptism#Eucharist#Confirmation#Ordination
A morning of happy firsts: Fr Matt presided and preached at St Mary's first the first time; Fr Paul deaconed and preached at St James' and Holy Trinity for the first time! And a year later than originally planned, Cat and Dan's banns of marriage were read for the first time! 💕
Well, I don’t know what everyone else has been up to this evening, but we’ve been celebrating the confirmations of Michelle, Sam, Joanne, Gillian, Danny, Jenny, Andrea and Tim!
Send down you Spirit, Lord, on these your servants.

Truly blessed by all those who have got me here @revkatycunliffe, Rev Dorothy Morris in Parish and @MalSaunders2 in @NWAmbulance who have all been instrumental in this journey.
Thanks to everyone for all your lovely messages. Just to clear up some confusion I still remain with NWAS as a Paramedic and continue as a self supporting minister in the parish’s of Holy Trinity Shaw, St Mary High Crompton & St James Thornham.
