I’m a better gardener than I was a pitcher. The only thing I enjoyed more than working my garden was probably protecting one of my teammates, taking pride in it and doing it right.
.@Buster_ESPN on the Red Sox pursuit of a right-handed bat, via @WEEI:
”Today I talked to someone, with another team, that told me that it’s
to the degree that the Red Sox ownership has gotten involved. I have
not confirmed the name of the owner… but an owner, one of the Red Sox
ownership group, is actually calling around and trying to grease the
skids to something to add a right-handed bat.”
I will take lead on bringing positivity to Sox twitter. This team is one winning streak away from putting both pitching and hitting together, look at the current stats and career averages. Be patient, 88 wins this season. Book it. I have been compromised but I own it.
The last time the Red Sox were 10 games below .500?
September 27th, 2020. The final day of that season, where you ended up getting the 4th overall pick that led to Marcelo Mayer.

It’s late July. The Sox are 50 games below 500. Wally has entered himself into a mental hospital. Roman Anthony is on his 3rd dui on seaport blvd. Wilson contrerous is in jail for assault on a police officer. Guys, it can get much worse than 2-8. Go Sox.
Breaking news: local Southie bro downs a few coors lights and watches the departed after the Sox lose the series to the A’s. He’ll be back folks, just give him some space.
