Most discussions about genre are like debating whether an ice cube from a tray that shapes the ice into a ball or a cat or Christmas tree is still an ice cube.

“Am I too x to write a novel? (Old, young, inexperienced, bad at writing)” The only quality that will hold you back is fear of inadequacy, nurtured by a world that quantifies and ranks everything by market value. Your worth is inherent, and your art transcendent. #writing
The year is 2069. I sit down to compose my last bit of writing. I put on the #ChronoTrigger OST and wonder why I’m still using Notepad.

Expect an avalanche of criticisms directed at "longtermism" (Future of Humanity Institute) in the coming months! It's time people understood just how *incredibly dangerous* this normative worldview is--it has, without hyperbole, all the ingredients for a genocidal catastrophe.
Question for #writers and #readers — you’re reading a first person narrative. The text is a product of the narrator—they’re writing their own account—and you come upon a factual inaccuracy, like a misspelled name from the real world. What’s your first thought?

Over the next few days (hopefully not longer) I’m gonna try to clean up my Twitter account with scripting. I might remove some people only to wind up adding them back. Sorry if that includes you! I’ve got way too many people I’m following since this account is 13+ years old
The next time an American conservative complains about easily triggered people, ask them when the US will get around to adopting the metric system. Gender reveal parties are less explosive.
@dedrie77 I agree with your point, too. I’ve been waiting too long with Dusty here and he’s basically my shadow, so I don’t think he has bad connotations or if he did they’re gone, but it’s probably better to assume an adopted dog has gone through hell (and I know both mine sadly did)
Trying to rename my adopted dog something that rhymes with his name, Dusty, and it’s not going so well… busty, musty, lusty, lumpy.. “This is my dog.. bloody gummy”
