New @CECCgov analysis details how the Chinese government implements policies limiting the ability of Hui #Muslims to practice their religion and culture as the “Xinjiang model” of social control expands to #Hui-populated areas. https://t.co/8iUlf2PMsl
The Chairs stand with UK/EU colleagues sanctioned for condemning atrocities in #Xinjiang, including @HelenaKennedyQC, @DavidAltonHL, @bueti, @Nus_Ghani & @rglucks1. We will all continue to speak for those w/out a voice & seek to hold accountable those responsible for atrocities.
Shattering the claim that there are too few women to fill senior natsec roles, this week @LC_WINS delivered 850+ names to @WhiteHouse & @JoeBiden-@KamalaHarris of well qualified, diverse women ready to lead in the next Administration. #LCWINS https://t.co/rNI25yslil
So proud of the work my better half @erikajsqueri is doing. The whole panel is great. The discussion of tools to cope/self care from the 14-21 minute mark especially resonated for me. https://t.co/EBAyeHvt2f via @YouTube
@FO_wordofmuth All great thoughts but bottom line for me is less pleasant. Little injury looked bad and OL looks like red alert status going forward this season. Saying every prayer I know I’m wrong about Little but that puts a huge damper on the win.
So proud of my brilliant and caring wife @ErikaJSqueri for her work launching this excellent initiative to inspire and educate the next generation of doctors, nurses, engineers, and scientists!

@Winflop Muir as I understand it. This doesn’t rank as high on my WTF list as not filling our scholarships and neglecting offensive line recruiting but it’s in the next tier.
Great Big Game win for @StanfordFball. Nine straight over Cal, winning on the road against one of the two winningest Cal teams of the decade while handily covering the spread and ending the season on a three game winning streak. Good day. Thread of thoughts on the regular season:
@Winflop Sure but it's an offense that should have been 10th or so being 25th or so. The defense being 60th or so held the team up more. In our losses, with the exception of Notre Dame, the offense vastly outperformed other teams against UW/WSU/Utah and wasn't what lost us those games.
@Winflop@rayywang76 I think his draft stock has been sufficiently nuked that a throwback dominant bowl game might be as important as the combine for him. Without putting a vintage performance on tape again I don't know that anybody will trust him, regardless of pre-draft workouts.
But if 2018 gives you lemons you have to try to make lemonade. A four game win streak and good close to the recruiting cycle are the things we can control now so I'm rooting hard for both and better times hopefully ahead in 2019. Go Card!
Sadly, Washington has supplanted Stanford as KingInDaNorth. The decline in the performance of the run game and the defense is worrisome. The offense looks promising but could suffer if Costello leaves or is injured. We continue to struggle to recruit defensive difference makers.
My bottom line heading into the bowl is that we are on the verge of salvaging a 9 win season/4 game win streak to end the year and wipe off some of the bad taste of mid-season disappointment, but concerns linger about the trajectory of the program.
With Alfieri and Toohill injured, Fox and Reid emerged. Frosh/Soph big play totals for top OLBs in the Anderson era: Soph Alfieri (14.5), Frosh Kalambayi (10.5), Soph Fox (10.5), Soph Kalambayi (9.5) Frosh Alfieri (8.5), Frosh Reid (7.5), Soph Tyler (7.5), Soph Toohill (5).
The amazing Paulson Adebo is 2nd in the nation in passes defended. He made more big plays (tackles for losses, passes defended, turnovers caused) in 2018 than any defender of the Lance Anderson era, including Phillips, Thomas, Reid, Shittu, and Vaughters. First team All-American?
JJ Arcega-Whiteside is now 9th on the single-season Stanford receiving list and within striking distance of all but Troy Walters (128 yards ties Gene Washington for 3rd). JJAW needs 141 yards to catch Emile Harry in the career top 10 and 4 TDs to tie Ken Margerum's career mark.
