With an average house price of £760k, Cookham is a wildly unaffordable place for young people to start their families. Despite this, the plan spends more talking about where to house donkeys than young people.

I remember being at a Justice Portfolio Committee meeting where DOJ representatives described building this on a piece of land which didn’t have access to a road as a ‘lesson learned.’

Not only is the Mpumalanga High Court, completed in 2019 at a cost of R1.1 billion (twice over budget) the worst designed high court building in the country, it has also just been declared to be unfit for human occupation. DOJ staff have been ordered to vacate. ✊🏽
