@SQLPrincess You can't create logins from external providers, so that's out. I don't know why you would HAVE to give the user a db role

Does anyone have recommendations on how to meet an offisite backup requirement for azure sql dbs? Is putting them on a VM the best way?

@mrdenny @SqlrUs Any idea how long they can recover with a support ticket? All documentation says it cannot be recovered.

@mrdenny @SqlrUs The backups, databases, and servers can still be deleted though. As far as I can tell the deletions aren't reversible.

@SqlrUs The perceived threat is that if any credential and/or user/pass was compromised with ransomware then our backups could be deleted. In the case of azure sql dbs the entire database and logical server could be deleted along with any LTR

@SqlrUs It's an azure SQL database. The problem is I need the backup to be offsite. They are worried about ransomware protection.

Does anyone have a SQL cluster with S2D disks for data and logs? I am building one now and every time it reboots all of the data is re-synced instead of just the changes. Is that normal? #sqlhelp

@SQLHA Is there any documentation for S2D that says it does a full reseed after a reboot? We are rebooting manually now to test behavior but have followed the steps in your link with the same results. #sqlhelp

@AskCapitalOne I switched to SureSwipe and back to Touch ID and it is working now. Not sure what the issue was.

@AskCapitalOne Any reason the capital one app doesn't work with Touch ID? Everytime I try to enable it and close the app it says there was a problem with my Touch ID.
