@GameOverGreggy All VR was relegated to an extreme niche long ago. The space needed and having to completely block yourself out from the world around you is too much of a barrier for the vast majority of people.
@bradrathbone @pythagoNRL Always likely to be exceptions but having been here for 10 years the concept of a local rivalry is way less a part of the support culture than in NSW. Not a bad thing, just unique in sport from what I've seen where your nearest club is your most hated generally
@kishor_nr Or instead of blaming people who are upset you could ask why that might be and if comparing them to human rights violations and literal murder probably isn't suitable subject matter for a 'joke'?
Using at extra sub in the 93rd minute that had no impact.on the result = forfeit the points to the opposition
Having your fans invade the pitch and assault a player = slap on the wrist and the game replay the game from the point it was stopped
Canberra United have been deducted three competition points following the use of a fourth substitute in the 93rd minute during the 2-1 home victory over Sydney FC at McKellar Park on Saturday 11 February 2023.

@DanGinnane I'd be fascinated to understand the fan dynamic among those there today. It was awesome but where have they been. Disgruntled Broncos fans? Current Broncos fans now supporting 2 teams? Or a huge group of people who like rugby league but had no attachment to an NRL club?
@pythagoNRL Pretty sure they've been referred to as Redcliffe more often this week than any other team in the competition has had their location name used. Hilarious
@StephenCarlyon Absolutely I think it sucks. Funnily enough I think the Dolphins is the one spot it will work because Queensland has no sense of internal rivalry. People absolutely jump on the bandwagon of whichever Queensland side is doing well
@StephenCarlyon I feel like most brand new teams in all sports all around the world have this problem. Wanting to be all things to all people and end up appealing to nobody
@kinson88@SimonBrunsdon I think the challenge Test cricket has is all the matches in between these truly epic ones. At it's best nothing matches it, but too often it's one sided walkovers
@DrEmmaBeckett The whole gatekeeping over which term is used in the first place bloody infuriates me. Two words can mean the same thing, it's fine. Can't say it surprises me the people who get bent out of shape about it would be even worse when a female dares to like sport
