Last year, I done a speech at my wedding.
I received the video in January, this year, and didn’t think I’d ever post it.
However, I think now is a fitting time to post it to the world.
1 min 41 secs of your day but wait till the end..

My love for Crystal Palace was passed down to me by my Dad, who in turn had been made into a Palace fan by his old man.
From the very beginning, it was stressed to me that following our football club was not about glory or trophies, it was about supporting your local team, having pride in South London when so many at my school chose to support clubs from further afield because they won things, celebrating those triumphs through their TV screens rather than with their own two eyes.
I’ve had a season ticket at Palace for 24 years now, have done just under 650 games, been to 46 different grounds and seen us get hammered by the likes of Scunthorpe and Crewe to name just a couple. I wouldn’t change a single second of it but this last year has been completely surreal.
To see my team lift an FA Cup at Wembley was something I couldn’t quite my head around, generations before me had lived and died, my Grandad included without ever witnessing a major trophy win, the subsequent European tour has been the stuff of dreams.
Last night in Leipzig, I broke down in genuine floods of tears at full-time, not because it necessarily meant “more” than last season’s FA Cup but because I simply never comprehended Palace playing in Europe, let alone winning a trophy at our first attempt.
My little boy is now following in my footsteps with his love for the club and he gets to grow up in a time when Palace are multiple trophy winners, it’s a quantum leap away from where I was at 7 years old and I love the fact that he can go to school and genuinely stand with his chest puffed out because of the club’s achievements.
I’ll stop waffling bollocks now; I’m just so, so happy. ❤️
@g10eob@ScottyStacks he would have about 8 assists if we took our chances in fairness. He’s struggled a bit recently but i thought he was decent today. plus a young player coming to the premier league starting week in week is always going to have dips in form.
@DavidMatthews6 we won’t, we never do. We’ll end up overpaying for a panic buy late in the window by which time Glasner will be at breaking point with the board (if he’s not already there) Breaking promises to our best ever manager the season after he’s won us our first trophy isn’t a smart move
If anyone can help I’d love to get a minutes applause going on 38 mins for my brother against Villa if anyone can help spread the word I’d be incredibly grateful @CPFC@HLTCO@WingingItCPFC@TCPalacePod thanks everyone ❤️💙
@leftsidedprob@DavidMatthews6 Hopefully we get Esse done and he can make a difference. Our attacking options (including wing backs) desperately lack dribblers who can create a moment of magic out of nothing Franca may be able to provide that when/if he ever gets back fit but it’s a lot to ask after a year out
@DavidMatthews6@leftsidedprob think it’s harsh to write franca off based on limited game time and some terrible luck but we definitely need at least 1 more attacker/10 + a more attack minded option at lwb & decent cover at rwb. kamada i think will come good he’s improving. The Nketiah signing i just don’t get
@leftsidedprob@DavidMatthews6 the frustration is we are so close. Our recruitment in general is very good we just don’t do enough of it. we have as good a manager as the likes of bournemouth who have kicked on but they back theirs to the hilt whilst we give ours half a squad to work with
@BearCPFC any other club would look at the previous deals and value increase of players like Joa,MG,AW,CD,EE & MO and be itching to reinvest on similar signings. We just seem to have given up
@GilesyL14 maybe, i think there may have been some bad blood there after the Hughes transfer as well actually. In an ideal world i’d like to see 2 come in to compete with Eze Kamada & Franca as 10s then Sarr on top may allow us to let Ayew leave & allow Jes a decent championship loan.
@GilesyL14 i find it odd that we weren’t in for him when he was available for <15m in a summer where we lost wilf yet are prepared to spend 20m on him now.. for depth an versatility he’d be a solid signing but if he’s seen as 1 of the supposed 2 we want to replace olise it’s underwhelming
