@graphicleftist @chloetheflower sound design is PART of why they're imo the best writers but far from the only aspect, arguably 80% of dubstep is on an equal footing sound design wise, imo they just write better like i argued in the replies, sound design and songwriting work in tandem they're not the same thing

also smth i just have to praise em on seperately is that their shit flows so fucking nicely, one of the first dubstep acts i've checked in a while that manages to understand how much detailing/interchanging ur drums and fills matters to the overall depth of ur track
