With only 24 days until @AlabamaFTBL starts the 2025 season, today we remember Kevin Turner, a powerful fullback from Prattville who played for the Crimson Tide from 1988-91 under Bill Curry and Gene Stallings.
New England drafted Turner in the third round of the 1992 NFL Draft. He played several years in the league with the Patriots and later the Philadelphia Eagles, before recurring neck injuries ended his career in 1999.
However, Turner was later diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) in June 2010. He fought the disease for almost six years before passing away on March 24, 2016, at his home in Vestavia Hills.
Would love to see this guy go same foot, same shoulder - but the explosiveness and snap from his hips when running through the tackle MY GOD
It’s art in motion
