@yyikesterryy@kez0rama@LalalaLindseyJ Right we’re saying what comes out is a warped or halfway version of what she would be trying to say, thats been the point the whole time
@yyikesterryy@LalalaLindseyJ Full control of her body sure, but you don’t see how the potential double meanings of these phrases could imply she’s struggling to get stuff out from in there and only managing to communicate part of it through the “wish” or “curse”?
@yyikesterryy@LalalaLindseyJ There’s evidence for this in the text, that she has these brief moments of semi-clear control, when she freaks out, or begs for help or whatever
@yyikesterryy@LalalaLindseyJ I think this person is arguing that there’s actually more subtlety to it in that these phrases could have double meanings because Nikki is wresting small amounts of control of her body from the compulsion of the willow
Also, the “dead cat possession” thing is just dumb
@vo9oc Yeah I felt like the show has a huge identity problem, way too many characters it has no clue what to do with and Levinson was really addicted to referencing better directors throughout, your QT comparison is spot on. Every use of blood splatter was like “oh this is like mid QT”
@apagut@Yonepatchi You probably shouldn’t let one past experience you had entirely color your view on something as broad as the concept of remote work
I almost choked on a sunflower seed when I was a boy, I’m not out here saying they should be illegal
@vo9oc Gotta return to this thread with a “hol up” the director of Primetime made the HBO doc series Ren Faire, which is great. Back to blind trust for me
@vo9oc It’s such odd timing because there’s a documentary called “Predators” that came out a while ago that takes a similar angle that is supposedly really good
