What's sad about Counter-Strike is the tactical side is worthy of intelligent fans like those associated with games like StarCraft but the FPS side means the average fan has always been more on the brainless CoD pleb/graduated-from-fortnite zoomer level.

It's tragic a game with such immense strategic depth has had a fanbase so stringently anti-intellectual and, worse, that PRETENDS to know and care about tactics but clearly just looks at numbers and headshots.

IGLs like Ex6TenZ, karrigan, MSL and Aleksib have been consistently shit on as if they were complete bums who do nothing by plebs while being consistently held in high regard by the majority of their peers I spoke to over the years.

To this day you will see utterly inane and ignorant remarks like "why didn't Aleksib win any LANs with OG if he was good?" with zero consideration of who was on his team.
