@B_Cash5@WinnaFC As the Spanish coach said, Lamine sacrificed his playing time for the team during the WC. Also, with the Ballon d'Or, nothing you do counts after July 19th, and Lamine knows it.
🚨 OFFICIAL CLUB STATEMENT:
The Board of Directors of FC Barcelona met today, Wednesday, July 29, at the club's headquarters in a regular session chaired by First Vice-President Rafael Yuste, in the absence of President Joan Laporta, who apologized for not attending.
During the meeting, the Board discussed, as part of the agenda, the possibility of holding a single Ordinary General Assembly for the delegates, which is usually held in October, ensuring it also includes the items designated for the Extraordinary General Assembly that require the approval of the delegate members.
To achieve this, the club is working to accelerate the process of closing the financial accounts for the 2025-2026 season, in addition to preparing the budget for the 2026-2027 season, with the aim of incorporating all items into a single agenda and holding one assembly, expected to take place during September.
The club believes that this format will provide greater convenience for the delegate members, in addition to achieving significant savings in organizational and economic aspects.
In this context, the Board of Directors reviewed during today's meeting the first estimate of the financial closure for the season. The accounts are still under review and audit by the financial auditor, and once this process is completed, the club will be able to call the Ordinary General Assembly, and if suitable conditions are available, it will be merged with the Extraordinary General Assembly.
The final decision will be made soon, and the club aims to hold the assembly during September, seeking, if possible, to schedule it on a day when a match is being played.
On the sporting front, the Board of Directors is putting the final touches on arranging a friendly match for the men's first team on August 15 in Tangier, Morocco, against a local team.
The Board also discussed the possibility of the Barcelona Women's team playing a friendly match on the same day, August 15, against Manchester City at the English team's stadium.
The Board of Directors also reviewed the status of the club's various sports sections and was informed of the imminent signing of a new player to the Women's first team, which will be officially announced after completing all contracting procedures.
In the sporting framework as well, the Board approved a project to unify the structure of Barcelona Atlètic with that of the first team, aiming to achieve faster, more efficient, and coordinated management at the sporting, economic, and operational levels.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Board of Directors was briefed on the latest developments in the Spotify Camp Nou stadium development works and the planned preparations ahead of the start of the next season.
