Excited to share @ryanbed and I have begun working on https://t.co/4AzETtef9O.
We're just getting started, but I'll be sharing more as we continue to build.
One thing I'm excited to dig into a bit is the way we're using SSR to make things super fast.
Does remote work increase or decrease productivity?
I've heard every opinion under the sun, but few arguments have looked closely at the data to answer.
That's why we put together a detailed look at what the data actually says:

We're working on a mascot + logo for https://t.co/MtIIRLqyiC and need your help #buildinpublic friends.
Of these sketches, are there any that are particularly appealing?
We're going for a fun vibe that helps us stand out a bit.

@global_elitist@ryanbed Hi, it's great to hear re your experience! That's what we're aiming for.
Things are cached on the CDN (Cloudflare) and that's the primary reason why it loads as quickly as it does.
Happy to answer any other tech questions you have.
Another milestone: we've surpassed five thousand active job postings on https://t.co/MtIIRLqyiC.
There's been lots of talk about future of work recently, but it's clear we're only seeing more interest in remote over time.
@alexduggleby@rrmdp The scope of the API is pretty limited: we’re using it for job postings, which is one of the few things they support.
I think the idea is Google wants to provide an outlet for content that expires quickly.
But they don’t want to enable that for just any content.
Another #buildinpublic update:
We've seen a noticeable uptick in pageviews since implementing the Google Indexing API.
This rolled out on June 9th and the next day you can see a clear increase.
h/t @rrmdp for mentioning this. Thank you for pointing me at the right docs! 🙇♂️
@LiorNn@philostar@rrmdp We use a mix of both.
Some things really need GPT4 to meet a certain quality threshold. (Especially for more complex tasks.)
Also GPT4 is sometimes needed given input length.
@Eduullv Ours is a little higher because we leave on OpenAI pretty heavily.
What that means is we’re spending a few dollars per day on that.
However, other costs remain low, totaling around $15/mo.
Am I the only one or is esbuild a bit of a nightmare?
I’ll be the first admit that my needs are a little uncommon:
I have a monorepo with a front end and several backend components. I need to share code between these and I want end-to-end type safety.
But damn it’s painful.
@imgyf Even if you made a few tweaks so that “Mum” and “Dad” used different verbiage or had a separate form and landing page for same sex couples.
I’m also curious about the model: it gave somewhat different results compared to using inputs with a male and female sample.
@kettlecorn The point tho is that it’s elevated to the absolute most important moments.
It failed to land but it would be impossible to keep the segment and downgrade the device’s status to minor moments.
I’m sure it was discussed. But I understand why it wasn’t cut.
@imgyf One of the commenters said something to the effect of they’d stop being friends with anyone who used this so I immediately purchased a set of photos. 🤣
