Max Monday's is a self-challenge to hit the MAXIMUM push-up reps you can do to failure. This sets the tone for the week that you will PUSH YOURSELF hard to obtain not just your physical goals but all other goals.
But Tues. to Sun? Diet? Exercise? Motivation?
A thread 🧵👇
ATH: 80
I’m feeing good. Here’s the last 5. I remember thinking at around 63 how great it would be to hit 80 but I was already starting to feel the fatigue. It goes to show you if you can just push through you can do anything.
Today was a great day for the max push-ups.
80.
I was able to do 50 without stopping and then I grind it out the last 30. I think the more you can do without stopping the better off you are.
🫡Now is your turn. Don’t be lazy. You can do push-ups anywhere! Post below.
You can do the workout anywhere. All you need is the band. The dog is just extra.
Thursday squat with sandbag as a weight in 2 mins = 93
Friday bicep curls with band = 110
I always liked Fridays because it’s the vanity workout, which is bicep curls max outs. I think this is the reward workout for Thursdays max out squats, which are always difficult.
Today was a new all-time high of 105 curls with resistance band I’m telling you guys, you only need two things to get in shape. The resistance band for all the resistance exercises and a dog, which reminds you every day that you need to get your steps in and take it for a walk.
Thursday is in my opinion on the second most important day for the daily max out as it is all about squats. Obviously squatting it’s all the major muscle groups so for this one exercise you’re getting a hefty amount of payback as far as growth.
So today with a full sandbag, I did 101 squats over a timeframe of two minutes. Not too bad.
Today is what it comes down to. Mondays are the most important days because it’s all about the push-ups. I’m on day two of fasting as well. I don’t recommend this for anyone to fast and then push yourself to the maximum. But if you can do it, it’s amazingly beneficial for body composition.
Thursday (new years day!) max out squats with sandbag as weight over 2 mins
Result: 93
Just because today is a holiday for some doesn’t mean there’s a day off to get in shape/stay in shape. Habits are tough to break whether they are bad or good. Keep doing the Max Outs and they become habits.
I could only get 10 pull ups today. Sad but it gives me goals. Also, check out this video. I’ve just recently found Dr. Pete after finding out he beat stage 4 brain cancer. This rebounding sounds great - https://t.co/pSnoFezaaL
Monday max out push ups are the king maker day. If you haven’t maxed out push ups in a long time (or never), then why not try it today? Post your results below
GM. Eating a high protein (mostly) carnivore diet and doing a workout at your house with a resistance band and *maybe* a few dumbbells is all you need (or if you’re lucky like me, you can do your workouts on the beach). This December and January will be the MOST amount of sign-ups for gyms based on people’s “New Years Resolutions” to finally get in shape.
They will sign up and go to the gym for a few weeks or even a few months and then never go again. I know this will happen because everyone who is a gym regular KNOWS that January sucks because there’s a bunch of noobs hogging up all the gym equipment. We also know that by Feb. everything goes back to normal with way less people.
I.e. people stop going. New Year’s resolution failed again. People stay fat and out of shape. If there you just follow this DAILY program. Try eating what I eat and don’t quit. It’s simple and easy and takes two weeks to make an action turn into a habit of you do it CONSISTENTLY over that short time frame.
I don’t make the rules. I just follow them.
GM. Quick reminder that cholesterol has been demonized for far too long. I suppose that’s why statin medications are one of the most profitable medications pushed by the pharmaceutical companies even though side effects can be problematic. Also, nobody gets in shape on a high carb diet.
Saturdays are usually the dead hang max outs but I added in the band pull aparts as well. I don’t really like doing the dead hangs every Saturday for time.
