We want to be helpful to businesses that invest in charging. There’s still too much waste in CapEx and OpEx in charging, combined with poor experiences. A lot more (~30X?) good infrastructure needs to be built to achieve 100% EV adoption.

Often, the culprit is a mix of different hardware, software, and service providers. This increases the cost stack, complexity, and finger-pointing over accountability. Tesla offers an all-in-one solution as an option, with Tesla hardware, Tesla software, and Tesla service. We operate the largest global network and offer what we’ve proven works. All Superchargers come with a maniacal focus on customer experience, including 24/7 monitoring, Tesla service technicians, and software updates.

Software in charging is challenging and constantly evolving, which is why some large Charging Station Management Software (CSMS) providers have stopped operating in recent months—a concerning trend. Superchargers sold to third parties include the latest Tesla firmware, plug & charge, down-post notifications, site outage and maintenance alerts, in-app issue reporting, customer support, real-time wait time, stalls available upon arrival—and more features always in development. Since we're confident on what customers can expect, these Superchargers can be featured automatically in Tripplanner with dynamic re-routing, providing more options for drivers and increasing site utilization.

The most important part: customers love it, which drives EV adoption.
