Folks, we're dealing with a fraction of a percentage point difference, there's still hundreds of thousands of votes outstanding, and LA officials have given us the next 3 weeks to count! Let's git-r-dun!
@TeslaVandalWtch I hope so. I’ve done hours of research today and I can’t find anything that says you need cash. They just mention “buying power”. There was something from 2021 that said you can’t buy ipo shares with margin but that’s a long time ago.
Has anyone found anything about being able to use margin temporarily for SpaceX IPO on Robinhood?
I have not found explicit language stating I can only use cash. I would hate to liquid other positions to generate the cash needed only to be allocated 1 share of $SPCX.
@Tryangle@Tesla Ohhh I would love to do the same. It’s actually happened to two of my own customers in my model 3 but I didn’t have the cybertruck at the time, so we towed it.
For software engineers out there. Stop over analyzing things like the language you're going to use. Unless you're doing something super high performance I promise you, it doesn't matter.
Rivian Roamer runs on arguably one of the slowest languages (Ruby). But it's easily to handle a crap ton of traffic with few resources. 2 small web servers, 2 worker instances and 1 telematics daemon all on 1 CPU each, all under 50% utilization.
It handles 10 web reqs/sec, 300 telematics ingestions/sec and over 2 billion background jobs per week.
Your time is far more valuable than a computer's time. Use what you know and are comfortable with, the rest really doesn't matter. Customers don't know or care.
