🚨 The R400 Billion Disaster
In 2007, South Africa was told that two new power stations would solve the electricity crisis once and for all.
Butttttt, fifteen to eighteen years and somewhere between R300 billion and R450 billion later, Medupi and Kusile became two of the most expensive coal power stations ever built.
Instead of ending load-shedding, they helped prolong it.
This is the story of how two flagship projects turned into one of the largest infrastructure failures in democratic South Africa.
I’m releasing Part 1 of the series, Darkness by Design - with both the full video documentary (YouTube and X) and the detailed written article dropping at the same time.
The trailer is live now.
The full episode and article drop this evening...

The third world isn't a place, it's a people.
Third world countries exist because they are full of third world people.
If you send every German to Nigeria and every Nigerian to Germany, in 5 years, Nigeria will become a civilized nation and Germany will become a third world.
🚨SHOCKING: Cyril Ramaphosa’s First "Smart City" Is Only Shacks And Open Fields‼️
Back in his 2020 SONA, President Cyril Ramaphosa stood up and promised South Africa its first smart city in the democratic era. A high-tech, eco-friendly utopia near Lanseria Airport for 350 000–500 000 people. 5G-ready, sustainable and game-changing. “Reality in the making,” he called it.
Now in 2026, it's still just empty field with shacks, a couple of lonely solar streetlights and one half-built fence along Ashenti Road, and R29 million spent on studies and a wastewater plant that’s still just, plans.
No houses, no tech hubs, no construction‼️
Six whole years of the same ANC script: big announcement, fancy photos and then silence. While South Africa is drowning in potholes, load-shedding and crime, they’re still selling us these dreams that never leave the boardroom.
This isn’t a smart city, it’s a smart way to waste our time and money‼️
