Actually the #trucking industry has been in a full court press to hire more women without doing anything about the #rape in training problem or #sexdiscrimination #retaliation ... they want that good PR while #women suffer the workplace violence that is prevalent.

@killi_mimes It was my idea, but I abandoned it after our first half season. It’s just something that sticks in peoples memory. It was a bit of an actors crutch for getting up handle on the things that were different about Wojo from me while I was exploring the things that were alike.

Many #truckdrivers say these companies change contract after they sign it to make it, so they cannot & pay it off early to leave. This forces them to walk away from the truck. Sometimes they get hit with a bill for 2x the trucks value even though they've paid 110K or more already

She writes: "At one place I was the ONLY sleeper there. After 3 hours, they pulled me from it, refused to pay me the short haul they promised me because I didn't actually get the load. They get mad if I go off route but have not provided a route & their GPS was broken"

Then another guy who had 1 week less training than her, was impatient on Christmas Eve with a line of cars. trying to get into a gas station. He ended up sideswiping the cars and taking off his 2 passenger side mirrors. For home, the company said "oh well these things happen"🙅‍♀️

One driver reports that company violates the terms of the lease, but he doesn't know what to do. They pull him off of loads they have given him, and he ends up doing quite a bit of sitting even when he is a top trainer for them. This is #trucking lots of schemes on #truckdrivers
