I’m so happy to announce that my chapter on queer temporalities in @tithenai and @maxgladstone’s This is How You Lose the Time War is out! Thank you so much to the editors for their fantastic work, and to everyone who made this volume possible 🏳🌈🌟
@hauntedtable <3 It's a tremendous project! Congratulations on your achievement. I can't wait to get a table together (especially after the Binding Contract Sentence)
Was having a normal morning reading the newsletter of one of my favorite authors (@maxgladstone) when I saw this Triangle Agency shout-out!
TA doesn't exist without the Craft Sequence, which reignited my love of reading (and then writing) almost a decade ago. I cried!
Not watched our interview with @maxgladstone yet? Here's a trailer to show you what you're missing...
(Shout out to Lili for making this, I snort laughed when the music first played)
The stories of Conan are timeless, and filled with fantasy adventure that still hold up today. This is merely a tribute from me, but hopefully fans of Conan will enjoy the glimpse into his world as seen through my eyes!
"The Tower of the Elephant" by Robert E. Howard.
review "as Mark Twain once said, 'If you’ve got dead flying gods, skeleton kings, and giant planet-eating spiders from the void between the stars, you’ve got yourself a winner!'"

@TheLincoln It would be interesting to write a book in which the narrator constantly surfaced this information, tagging every character with family background and salary and loan APR and whatnot, but... that's not how many USicans talk to each other absent explicit political agenda
@TheLincoln Ames and Katrina both almost certainly have student loans and salaries high enough that they don't think about them... Money in this book isn't absent, it's everywhere—though it's often unspoken, particularly in Ames's and Katrina's class contexts
@TheLincoln the central tension revolves around Katrina's determination not to sole-parent or raise the kid with Ames in a diad, Reese is a potential Mom because she loves kids and has no career to speak of—if she's not going to be a SAH mother she'll be close to it
