Okay so I got it half-working, here are two major footguns worth noting:

1. Avoid setting network ownership unless you intend to turn off prediction.
2. If you are running code on the server and client, make sure they run at the same StepFrequency (Hz60 seems good)

ported my game's state over to attributes, moved that logic into BindToSimulation, turned on server authority AAAAAND... well shit.

Regarding the censorship I applied to The Stalker: Reborn yesterday, you can use the chat command `/bloodcolor #FF0000` to make blood red again. It will be green by default for now.

Gibs will remain turkey legs for now until I get clarification on whether it’s allowed or not.

The gibs are understandably problematic given that I literally make the bodies explode into meat when The Stalker punches the ragdolls, which is why I'm taking the liberty of censoring it to hopefully appease Roblox's obnoxious demands.

Blocking a game from being appealed without providing any elaboration on what actually violated the rules and if there’s any potential path to remove the violating content is insane.

[Residence Massacre @Teas_Studio]

@Roblox @robloxdevrel Residence Massacre, with 200M visits, was locked for “Scamming” by automated moderation. Two appeals were denied without identifying the violating content. I’ve reached the appeal limit and cannot open the game in Studio to remove the suspected feature.

I will fix the stalker’s health soon. There are other pressing matters on my plate that I have to deal with though.

I’m more interested in feedback on the gunplay and how The Stalker’s movement feels.

Game plan for the combine is to make them very customizable. The helmet in particular will be made of around 4 interchangeable components.

The classic space trooper armor itself is already composed of 10 accessory objects.

What you guys have seen here is probably like 30% done. The work has been on and off for about 16 months. Realistically there's been like maybe 3 months of grind put into it.

I want to recruit people to help with the project but I don't know if I can offer more than percentages.

There's a chat command called /bloodcolor to change the color of blood to whatever you want.

Typing /bloodcolor without anything after will report what the current value is.

/bloodcolor #FF0000 will set it to red.

I want to say this is a reach but I genuinely don't know what they're talking about. There are no lingering blood splashes on the floor, there are only blood particle emissions. Maybe they thought the red plastic combine gibs on the floor were blood splashes? I don't know.

So here's what's interesting about this moderator note.

The game does not have blood splats on the floor *anymore*. There WAS code in the game doing this, but I removed the textures from my game assets awhile ago to avoid moderation.

I never removed the code placing the splats.

In essence I was placing "blood splats" on the floor that were blank decals.

This almost makes me think there's some AI moderation bullshit going on here, like something was auto-analyzing the game scene and flagged what it thought was a rule violation just from descriptors.
