Creativity is in the doing NOT the idea. Too much weight is put in romanticizing "ideas".
We all have ideas, any creative with an ounce of experience understands ideas are cheap & not remotely special. What's special is how a creative develops their ideas & makes them real.
@nikukurin i actually have kinda lost my memories of playing the whole series tbh, and replaying them again has made me love Ace Attorney more than ever before. i love being reminded all over again why this series had such an influence on me (also i've never played TGAA2 so hyyype)
@JumpNJetz making a ninja squad and the injured status alone were some of the most fun tcg concepts to play with, def one of the better card games in all that oversaturation
@KaihatsuYT@Gravantus me too! i actually got the job at one point, but i quit before making anything for him. i learned that i can't stand doing editing as a job thanks to that time lol
I say "worrying" bc while my game (more info on my channel coming soon) is inspired by AA, it has taken on a life of its own to the point where what it shares with AA is "2D visual novel assets & solving crimes", which is hardly the same game when you get down to it.
I have spent the past 4 years "worrying" about the next big Ace Attorney being released before I finish making my game...but at this point idgaf. Anyone who actually likes mystery games will have two cakes to eat and probably enjoy both.
Plus mine will be like, under $10.
