Israel just bombed Ahli Hospital in Gaza City, where American orthopedic surgeon Samer Attar - who did a @60Minutes episode about #Gaza last week - is working. It's the second time in 20 days that an American surgeon has almost been killed by Israel in a hospital in Gaza (I was almost killed at Nasser Hospital on March 23). @realDonaldTrump you can end this insanity instantly if you want to.
Urgent: Hamas accuses Israel of blocking critical aid, food, water, medical supplies, in violation of its commitments in the ceasefire deal. It says that only a fraction of the promised aid has arrived, and essential fuel, shelter, and medical evacuations are being deliberately obstructed.
This isn’t just neglect—it’s intentional. Netanyahu and Trump want this deal to fail because they don’t want peace; they want ethnic cleansing.
The world must act now. Governments, mediators, and all of us must demand the full implementation of the ceasefire, all three phases. Every delay means more suffering, more death. We can’t let this agreement fall apart.
Mahmoud and Ahmed are key partners of ours in Jerusalem. We are outraged to learn that they were arrested in this ridiculous raid, which is an alarming escalation from the occupation.
Grounds for arrest: selling books in Arabic.
Israel is continuing its war on the entire Palestinian people. The attempt to crush the Palestinian people the includes harassment and arrest of intellectuals. Mahmoud and Ahmad Muna, well-known figures in the Jerusalem cultural scene, run the Educational Bookshop - a meeting point for cultural and political discussion. Israel must immediately release them from detention and stop persecuting Palestinian intellectuals. @bookseller_jer @Edu_Bookshop
Anyone who cared about No Other Land should care about what is actually happening on the ground: today our water tanks, 9 homes and 3 ancient caves were destroyed. Masafer Yatta is disappearing in front of my eyes. Only one name for these actions: ethnic cleansing.
🗣Palestinian courage “inspires me beyond belief”
Last month was the deadliest for sports in Gaza. 2 athletes killed every day.
Speaking with @sammorsy08, @NujumSports, @mohamd684083, and Nader Al-Jayooshi about this.
✍Massive story for @intifada

Full update, as shared by Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, Director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, with Drop Site News earlier this morning:
“Update on the hospital’s situation as of November 20, 2024:
Unfortunately, the latest developments indicate that we are still under severe siege, with no permission to bring in anything—neither medicine, medical teams, food, ambulances, nor civil defense services.
Despite our repeated appeals to the international community, the same distressing situation continues.
Yesterday, I received a distress call from the Al-Kahlout family after their home was targeted, and sadly, we are unable to assist them. Whoever could get our survived while tragically, the others have become martyrs.
Currently, we have 85 injured individuals, including children and women, who are receiving minimal healthcare.
In the intensive care unit, there are six critically ill patients. Unfortunately, cases of malnutrition have begun to arrive since yesterday; seventeen children came to the emergency room displaying signs of malnutrition. Additionally, an elderly man died yesterday due to severe dehydration.
The situation has become increasingly catastrophic, and regrettably, there is no movement or even promises from any international entity to open a humanitarian corridor through which medical supplies, surgical teams, food for children, infant formula, and therapeutic milk can enter.
This would enable us to treat malnutrition cases and provide necessary ambulance services.”
My new report is out - available in all UN official languages: https://t.co/FlGLzPTdhz
Genocide is a complex and insidious crime; proving destructive intent is an onerous task - yet not when it is so ostentatious, sustained by a political doctrine of ideological hatred and articulated through institutional structures and policies.
In the early hours of the morning, a horrific massacre claimed the lives of over 33 people, including 21 women, and left 158 injured so far, with the number expected to rise. Entire residential blocks, such as Nasar, Al-Hawajri, and Abu Al-Eish, were obliterated under heavy bombardment. Their proximity to Al-Awda Hospital led to an overwhelming influx of the dead and injured, filling the hospital to capacity, with the bodies of the martyrs lining up outside as there was no room left inside.
@FranceskAlbs It is time, the free and brave in Europe organize to defend humanity in Palestine before it is too late.
The mere expression of anger and shock is not enough. Far from being.
While these scenes are hard to process, it is important to understand that extrajudicial executions of Palestinian civilians—often children—are absolutely not isolated incidents. These events represent a part of the systematic and widespread actions being carried out by Israeli soldiers in Gaza. The rationale? The opportunity to target (and destroy) the Palestinians, which the State of Israel appears determined not to let slip away.
What can be done for the future of Palestinians?
Any discussion about 1-state, 2-state or whatever political configuration must prioritize two things:
-the Palestinian people’s right to return to Palestine; and - the full realization of their human rights and dignity.

What can be done now? Ceasefire now. All countries have a duty to end the starvation and genocide. Countries and corps. supplying Isr. with money and weapons are complicit. Other countries should impose economic, political and cultural sanctions. Institutions should divest.
/6
It’s not just Gaza. And it’s not just restricting goods + humanitarian aid.
Isr. has been destroying the Palestinian food system for 70+ years. Destroying orchards & farms. Harassing/ killing peasants, fishers & shepherds.
Here's what's @ stake: https://t.co/KxcmvOjRuy

How was Isr. able to starve 2.3 million Palestinians in Gaza at unprecedented speed and intensity?
I answer this question in my new report. I'll be discussing my report with the @UN General Assembly on Friday, October 18.
