"This desk is a ping-pong ball with something alive inside it.
This desk is in a lion's mouth.
This desk is made of something called wood, I think."

So, a lot of people ask me why I buy so many books. The truth is, I have a genetic disorder where my body doesn’t produce enough books of its own, so I have to supplement.
I'm excited to share that my #shortstory RIBSTON PIPPIN received an Honorable Mention in @gemini_magazine_'s Flash Fiction Contest! A big thank you to editor, David Bright, & his team for giving Pip a home. And congratulations to all of the winners! https://t.co/FxrclJMMg5

After the leaves have fallen, we return
To the plain sense of things. It is as if
We had come to an end of the imagination,
Inanimate in an inert Savior.
