I really hate point cards in Japan.
1. They "force" you to keep going to the same stores
2. Checkout takes forever. No self-checkout, and all seatch for point cards...
3. If you understand basic economics, you know you're not actually getting things cheaper.

One of the funniest things in Japan is that people still act like someone has to operate the elevator 🤣
But to be fair, many older elevators here use pressure sensors instead of laser sensors… so the doors actually hit you a bit before reopening 💀
@jpnexpert@mrjeffu Literally no benefit for engineers to choose Japan over the West. My salary will increase 300% in my new job in Switzerland. (And I am already earning well in Tokyo.)
