@clarelee_posty@CitiusMag with flinching, as long as you don’t cross the plane (the starting line) they usually will call the runners up and issue a warning. but to let it go as if nothing happened is bad on the officials.
@clarelee_posty@CitiusMag i mean they aren’t really trained to block out visual distractions cause their shouldn’t be any. someone moving in your peripheral is almost always going to shake you up.
@MediaFoxx@CitiusMag i think having so many “eyes on the sport” is exactly why they should call it back. cause now we get problems like this. also, no non-track fans knew about this meet unfortunately, so it wasn’t truly about getting eyes on the sport.
@SeamusKing7@mahato99@Carl_Lewis this is probably the dumbest comment i’ve read 😭
that’s already more than most athletes in history. he’s not close to the goat, but he has accomplished a lot.
@TheErinBrown@WilliamClaye i mean, ig the average field athlete should get paid less than the average track athlete just because they’re usually more popular. but the top of the top should be similar. like Mondo should get similar if not more than Coleman.
@WilliamClaye@TheErinBrown i mean yeah, they’re there. but most of the time people are only really paying attention to the track. and on TV, 90% of screen time is the track and 10% is the field.
@WilliamClaye@TheErinBrown okay, i don’t 100% agree with the whole “field events don’t deserve equal pay” but to say that just as many people watch field as the track is ridiculous 😭
