Wow, just wow. I've seen this technology develop first-hand back in 2018-2020 while I was working on the @Microsoft HoloLens project. My mind was blown out when I tried HoloLens for the first time. Such a magic experience I can still remember the emotions even though many of the details of that experience are now blurry.

I stopped closely following the progress but having seen the latest results - I'm mind-blown.

To the outsiders this seems like a step change - for those who've been working on these systems the progress has been super incremental. I've seen demos that looked similar to this before (as far back as 2019), but they were not real time, and not this high quality.

Same thing happened with AI. For most people AI became a thing when ChatGPT came out.

I'm a big believer in metaverse and always have been. To me it's a no-brainer that it's better to have 3D visuals than 2D. Presence as a feature is a huge deal. Also it's more efficient (somewhat counter-intuitively) and takes less bandwidth to transmit these 3D avatars compared to images/videos.

- Pre-train on LOTs of data
- Fine-tune on GOOD data
- Incorporate human feedback
