@TeamYouTube I have to manually reset the zoom to 100% EVERY SINGLE TIME i turn the phone.
My playback settings are obviously set to not fill the screen automatically.
I reset that several times, it is still completely ignored.

@YouTube i am not your beta tester für Auto Zoom. In my settings autozoom is off. Leave me alone and leave my videos at standard scale with black bars!

@TeamYouTube Regarding zoom: my phone has 21:9 aspect ratio. Starting today (maybe yesterday) 16:9 videos (not all but most) get autozoomed to fill the display, when i go to fullscreen.

This cuts off part of the video and my front camera cutout and round display edges cut off more video.
