One tweet helped change music history… and it reminded me of a moment that changed my songwriting life.
When the remix of Old Town Road dropped with Billy Ray Cyrus and Lil Nas X, it hit me differently.
Not just as a listener.
As a songwriter.
Because sometimes a song takes on a life of its own.
Billy Ray publicly supported Lil Nas X on Twitter when Old Town Road was pulled from the country charts…
and that moment turned into one of the biggest crossovers in music history.
Watching that unfold reminded me of something from my own early songwriting days.
Back in the 2009 Hannah Montana era, I was 17 and writing constantly.
One night I tweeted about my song to Miley Cyrus…
…and she actually replied.
One notification.
But it opened doors I never expected.
Radio interviews.
Music industry conversations.
And one moment I’ll always be grateful for:
Getting the chance to rewrite my first song with Nashville singer-songwriter Terry Bell.
For a young songwriter, that felt like a real blessing.
That experience taught me something I still believe today:
Songs travel farther than you think.
One lyric.
One idea.
One unexpected connection.
Hearing Old Town Road again recently reminded me of that.
It made me pick up the guitar again and start writing more.
No overthinking.
Just chasing the next song.
Because sometimes the biggest songs in the world start with something simple:
A beat.
A lyric.
And someone brave enough to share it.
Songwriters and creators — what was the moment that made you believe your dream might actually happen?

Good Friday! ♥️
Considering how
magnificent you were
when you were born
and considering that you cannot
be less than that now,
then being your best self
is only a question of
remembering
who you truly are.
We are magnificent beings
capable of magnificent deeds.

Shannon Beador and Vicki Gunvalson were on “Jeff Lewis Live” talking about how Sonja Morgan got banned from Tucci restaurant after not paying her bill. Vicki said Sonja shouldn’t go out to dinner if she can’t afford it.
While they were discussing it, Max Tucci, the owner of Tucci restaurant, called in to tell the story of Sonja skipping out on a $1,000 tab. 👀☕️
“[Sonja] comes in, creates a scene,” Max recalls, “calls me at 11:30pm and says, ‘I’m a celebrity. I don’t pay. Why did you give me a bill?’” #RHOC #RHONY
