@FrackDeals @KornArt3 @LazerPotaters Oooh the 06 hate bandwagon was brutal back then. Who could forget the infamous Sonic Gens IGN review? Even when Sonic Gens tried to bridge modern and classic styles, it sure didn't stop "critics" from shoving down everyone's throats every time they could.

@LazerPotaters I think it was, once again, a topic heavily criticized from 06 and onwards. We all know the story by now but, from what I saw back in the day, it was NOT pleasant changing gameplay styles in that game.
Ironic considering that wasn't the case as much for the Advance trilogy afaik.
