the "Super IC" is replacing the bloated 10-person marketing department
one operator owning positioning, shipping daily on X, writing the weekly newsletter, and turning customer calls into YouTube breakdowns that close inbound deals
zero handoffs or status meetings, 10x the output
this is the model every lean company is hiring for next
it’s sunday night: my right arm and fingers weren't working well bc of a nerve issue
im struggling to type anything but realize i can press a button on my keyboard and dictate everything on my laptop
what im able to do while barely touching a keyboard:
• Codex was helping me update Spicy’s UX/UI
• a Grok bot was working through a new company incorporation on Firstbase
• another Grok bot was filling out a business credit card application
• Hark was buying tickets to the UT game on friday
i was mostly talking, reviewing and pressing approve
pretty wild how much shi*t you can get done with 1 working arm and a microphone
p.s -- i’ll be in Austin later this week. DMs open if you want to meet up

"You Can See Everything" director Lance Oppenheim says Elizabeth Holmes' partner Billy Evans "didn't care about being seen naked" in the documentary:
"We were in the car ride on the way back from the gym, and I said to Billy, ‘We will give you some time to shower.’ And Billy responded, ‘Want to film me showering?’ I offered to film him in a way that could avoid seeing his genitals, but Billy said he didn’t care about being seen naked.”

𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤: i killed our inbound instagram ads because they only were attracting SMB restaurants
(this learning is useful for when we drive leads to Spicy 🌶️ )
𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐬
- 3 qualified meetings, all new prospects. 1 was a 17-location group that booked off linkedin
- shipped a new grokbot that tracks client campaign pacing during the middle of the week, then suggests fixes on the fly
- one client hit a record week +36% YoY. another is pacing for its best week of the year
- made the team build Halloween AI projects during work hours. my team loved this and truly killed it...some are weirdly useful including this ad made by Santi
𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬
- missed the short-form video plan again. got distracted
- 2 short of 5 qualified meetings (i'm a 1 man team here)
- our team is getting stuck in our Spicy workflow, need to improve to make it fully operational
𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐞𝐧𝐝: going to see the Nathan Fielder x Liz Holmes movie tonight.. can't wait
