@Jaderl@theangelofcyrus Is most likely not related to romance. But Az’s relationship with his shadows himself. They sulked. Which is cute, and almost petty. I genuinely can’t imagine females can’t come between like that. Are you trying to say they’d be more loyal to Az’s mate than Az?
@Jaderl@theangelofcyrus He had them since he was a boy, he gained them in 11 years of isolation if I can recall. His shadows had posed like snakes to protect Elain when Nesta insulted her in SF. And have brightened because of her. They’ve had positive reactions to her. That’s why I’m saying the issue
@Jaderl@theangelofcyrus Or it has nothing to do with Elain or romance? Because by your logic, his shadows that have been his companions for 500 years, through thick and thin, are willing to throw him under the bus, into a political storm, over females? Is that where the shadows draw the line?
@Jaderl@theangelofcyrus They could’ve just informed him that Lucien was coming up. And it would’ve stopped everything quietly. But instead, they chose to betray him to Lucien, knowing the scale of repercussions on Az and the IC.
@Jaderl@theangelofcyrus No. I’m saying they are his companions, not his dictators. You’re conflating their own will over Az’s will. Or mistaking them for the same thing. When they are two separate things. In the leaked chapter, if it was really about not wanting him to be with Elain,
@Jaderl@theangelofcyrus He became a Shadowsinger. He wasn’t born one, he gained the power. His shadows are bonded with him. They are separate but bonded. He’s also the only shadow wilder in maasverse with shadows that can talk.
