Humans eradicated the Yamagata lineage of influenza by simply masking, distancing, and staying home when sick/exposed.
We don’t need to “live” with infectious pathogens. We need to eradicate them by implementing non-pharmaceutical interventions in all public spaces.
Things comparatively less safe than Mifepristone:
Pregnancy (15x)
Viagra (8x)
Penicillin (2x)
This med is safe, used around the world, and is part of the safest management of miscarriage.
This is not about safety.
For those following along at home: The GOP is ok with making Easter baskets for students after they’ve been traumatized by gun violence; the GOP is not ok with passing laws that would actually prevent children from being traumatized in the first place.
Today is the 46th anniversary of the 504 Sit-In and I can’t help but think of Judy Heumann & her recent passing.
Please make time today (or soon) to watch “Crip Camp: A Disability Revolution”
Amazing documentary about our very rich history.
“Disabled people need to be included. We will get to it next time.”
“Next time” is a euphemism for never.
Disabled people need to be included in every aspect of life now.
If an autistic person is expressing their autistic joy or authentic self, please don’t tell them they are being too loud, too much or need it tone it down if there is no need to. Each time they are shamed for their unmasked self, a little bit of them breaks. #AutsimAcceptanceDay

Imagine trying to convince me that sharing a bathroom with a trans person is the problem when the bathroom itself is inaccessible.
So unserious. Focus.
The whole disabled people shouldn't have kids conversation reminds me of how people say that poor people shouldn't have kids either.
It's eugenics.
Having money or being able bodied doesn't guarantee you'll be a good parent. It all depends on the individual.
