We are so thrilled to announce our new partner, Andrew Montague-Reinholdt!
@amreinholdt first joined us in 2013 as a summer student. Since then, he has built an incredible Labour and Employment practice and quickly become a leader on our team.
Congratulations, Andrew!
Deeply disappointed in the the use of the notwithstanding clause to violate fundamental Charter protected labour rights. You can find the nearest picket line at 👇🏽

You may be wondering, why is a law firm giving away free ice cream?
As we approach a long weekend, maybe you're dreaming of four-day work weeks forever? Here's a short blog on some legal considerations before making that shift.
Benefits such as increased productivity and better work-life balance have many employers considering the shift to a four-day work week. @mayajfernandez breaks down the legal implications of a shortened work week for both employees and employers:

A great thread by my colleague @amreinholdt about the last minute cancellation of the March bar exam. Many students study while balancing articling (in a pandemic), care commitments etc. Cancelling the exam 3 days before is devastating. Time for a serious re-think about the exam.
If there are any @uocommonlaw students in need of a space to write the bar, here is a great option👇. Many blank walls, quiet, safe, and there is reliable wifi!
We understand that many students don’t have the space at home that meets the requirements implemented by the Law Society for bar exams this summer. Turns out, we have an excess of blank walls in our office!
@LawinSalah If you are near a university, check to see if their printing centre will bind materials. I was able to do a drop off and have my materials bound for a reasonable price!
@Kt_Cornish@LawSocietyLSO Wanted to follow up on this with the answer that I've received from a "live chat" with MonitorEDU. Appears to me that we can select our preferred window, but that window is not a guarantee.
