This should be condemned at the highest level by a self respecting government but such are the times we live in that every news channel will run it as aura of our government 🤦🏻♂️
President Trump’s energy agenda has resulted in oil and gas production reaching the highest levels ever recorded.
To enable oil to keep flowing into the global market, the Treasury Department is issuing a temporary 30-day waiver to allow Indian refiners to purchase Russian oil. This deliberately short-term measure will not provide significant financial benefit to the Russian government as it only authorizes transactions involving oil already stranded at sea.
India is an essential partner of the United States, and we fully anticipate that New Delhi will ramp up purchases of U.S. oil. This stop-gap measure will alleviate pressure caused by Iran’s attempt to take global energy hostage.
I was contacted by @AirIndiaX by 2 AVPs from their headquarters.
However, the only thing they wanted to convey was that what happened was the actions of an individual, and not what the company stands for, and that they will fully co-operate with the police.
I totally respect that and agree with it too. Here is what I conveyed to them:
🔸 While the actions of the pilot do not reflect the beliefs of the company, he was on official duty (entering as staff). Thus they cannot shirk responsibility.
🔸 AIX has to publically declare a date by which their internal investigation will be complete, and it cannot be too far into the future.
🔸 At the declared date, AIX has to inform the public of the action they have decided to take against Virender Sejwal.
At the same time, I once again ask @DelhiAirport to release the CCTV footage.
This more or less sums up current state of things
Full of testosterone and no rule of law
And if it is otherwise airline should be putting this EMPLOYEE on no flying list and victim should be Compensated and apologized for mental and physical trauma
@AirIndiaX, today one of your pilots, Capt. Virender Sejwal, assaulted me physically at T1, Delhi Airport.
Here are the facts of the matter,:
🔸 Me & my family were guided to use the security check that the staff uses (also the PRM check), because we had a 4 month old baby in a stroller.
🔸 The staff was cutting the queue ahead of me. On calling them out, Capt. Virender, who himself was doing the same thing, asked me if I was anpadh (uneducated), and couldn't read the signs that said this entry was for staff.
🔸 A verbal scuffle broke out.
🔸 Not able to excercise restraint, the AIX pilot proceeded to physically assault me, leaving me bloody. The blood in the photograph (first comment) on his shirt is also mine.
Here are my issues with the whole thing:
🔹 My holiday is ruined. The first thing I have done here is see a doctor.
🔹 My 7 year old daughter, who saw her father get assaulted brutally, is still traumatized & scared.
🔹 I have no clue how @DGCAIndia & @AirIndiaX can allow such pilots to fly. If they can't keep their cool in a scuffle, can they be trusted with the lives of hundreds of people in the sky?
🔹 How can @DelhiAirport get away with such mismanagement, combining staff entry with passengers carrying infants, creating chaos at a sensitive security area? I thought Airports were safe places!
🔹 I was forced to write a letter stating that I will not pursue this matter further ... It was either write that letter, or miss my flight and throw the 1.2 lakhs holiday bookings down the drain. @DelhiPolice, why can't I file a complaint after coming back? Must I sacrifice my money too, to seek justice? Will the CCTV footage disappear in the 2 days till I make it back to Delhi?
To my friends & well wishers, I am pretty shaken, but nothing permanent. Can't say the same about my daughter though. 😢
Here is a short video of Capt. Virender Sejwal looking at me lying on the floor, covered in blood, and probably realising the gravity of the situation for the first time.
And a few more things that I did not mention in my earlier post:
🔸 My wife kept requesting for first aid. The guy got there after 15 minutes, but empty handed. He said that we must go to the medical centre. While I denied first aid, my wife was very worried and wanted it to be administered, so I said ok. But the medical centre was air side, and @CISFAirport wouldn't let me cross the security. So after some 45 minutes, a suitcase was hauled in with medicines, and then I was given First Aid. Isn't it simply appalling state of affairs at @DelhiAirport ? What if someone needed it urgently? Have you ever heard of an emergency responder showing up empty handed?
🔸 The pilot initially claimed he was from Alliance Air, probably wanting to escape without involving his employer.
🔸 Virender Sejwal was getting frisked at the Security Check while continuing his verbal spat with me. There, he told the CISF guy "main issko maar ke aata hu" (I'll come back after hitting him). My wife who had already cleared security check through the ladies line, heard it clearly. But did CISF take any preventive action? No.
🔸 This lone security check gate had one x-ray machine, and one men & one ladies line. However it was not only being used by staff and people with strollers, but also by people on wheelchairs, and also by people carrying big cabin baggage such as guitars. One x-ray machine for everyone, with staff claiming priority ... It was a ticking time bomb. The person who decided this arrangement at @DelhiAirportGMR should also be found responsible in this as well.
🔸 I was flying @flyspicejet and their senior people reached there as well. Many thanks to them that I was able to catch my plane, as they were in constant communication with the gate.
🔸 My wife couldn't take more pictures or videos because our phones were initially lying in the tray on the x-ray machine, and because she was busy frantically calling people who could help, and because all throughout she had an infant in one arm. Hats off to her for managing all this, and also her own emotions at a time like this. Found her crying silently late into the night yesterday, after the children had slept, finally releasing all her pent up stress. Women can be so tough when it comes to it. And my wife ... 🙏🏼.
🔸 @DelhiAirport must release the CCTV footage to the public domain so people can draw their own conclusions of the incident.
🔸 I hope that @DGCAIndia & @AirIndiaX will go beyond just suspension of the pilot.

More bad news for mobile phone users in India (after SIM binding): Our government is mandating a government app (sanchar saathi) on every new phone, permanently, Reuters reports.
Will be pushed to your phone via OTA. New smartphones need to have it. Users cannot delete it. This is a first. India has never before required an unremovable state app on every device. Russia does btw, with its MAX Messenger (started September 2025).
A few comments regarding this:
1. Sanchar Saathi is a lost phone tracker, but if it gets embedded with no possibility of removal, it becomes a government tracker on your device.
IF the government is allowed to get away with this, what’s next? A mandatory digital ID app? Digiyatra forcefully installed on each device? An app that disables VPNs or tracks your app and browser history? An app that sends copies of your messages to the government once a month?
Once the OS layer is opened to the state, it doesn’t close.
2. Legally, one can argue that your mobile phone is your personal space, and this is an invasion of your personal space.
It’s where we have our most private conversations. Exchange sensitive information with people we trust.
How do we know this app isn’t used to access files and messaging on our device, which is unencrypted on device? Or a future update won’t do that? This is clearly an invasion of our privacy.
3. Remember how the government exempt itself from much of the Data Protection Law. This explains why.
The Data Protection Law will make private companies more accountable and the Indian government less accountable.
4. Bloatware is already an issue with some phones (It’s why I don’t use Samsung). Now there’s more, and this time the government is forcing bloatware. I guess we’ll all have to root our phones now. When you buy a phone with bloatware, you're choosing to buy it with bloatware. This is different.
5. The way things work with India’s Department of Telecom, there was no public consultation, the order wasn’t disclosed. Just forced. This is dictatorial in nature. If they get away with this, more will follow.
India must not walk into the Chinese trap and remember that (1) they are holding on to 38k sq. km of Indian territory, (2) not de-escalating their troops on border, (3) claim Arunachal, (4) equipping Pak with submarine and stealth fighters, (4) have reservations about giving rare earth metals to India, (5) are building railway line right up to LAC, (6) will covertly help Pak in next round of conflict, etc. We may embrace China only after the border issue is resolved to our satisfaction and they admit our claim over POK. @MEAIndia
Tamil Nadu is a cracked state. I don't think people realize how crazy 11.19% real growth with $4000 per capita GSDP is.
For context, China has NEVER registered more than 11% real growth after crossing $3500 per capita GDP.
TN is a huge whitepill. The system can work.
@ShivAroor I stand corrected - he missed BRICS meetings in other locations however point remains what changed vis a vis china that just few months back he talked about not buying Chinese stuff and boycotting and now will hug Xi
@ShivAroor Why did you delete your reply @ShivAroor
That’s how low you can stoop
Also why did he not go to other BRICS meetings in china in last 7 years.
You will remain GoDI
@IndiaBottomline@ShivAroor Allegedly @ShivAroor deleted his reply however I have SS that shows his true face
Also for those talking about SCO summit india has been sending MEA or ministers in other BRICS meetings in last 7 years
