On Independence Day, HPCL paid tribute to Sqn Ldr Ajay Ahuja, the brave Indian Air Force officer who made the supreme sacrifice during the Kargil War, at M/s Ajay Ahuja Filling Station, Okhla, New Delhi.

The tribute ceremony brought together HPCL officials, dealer partners and Mrs. Alka Ahuja, wife of Sqn Ldr Ajay Ahuja, to honour his courage, valour and unwavering devotion to duty.

The occasion also recognised the extraordinary strength and resilience of Mrs. Ahuja, who continues to carry forward the legacy of her husband with dignity. The HPCL Retail Outlet at Okhla was awarded to her as a war widow following Sqn Ldr Ajay Ahuja's supreme sacrifice.

HPCL remains deeply honoured by its association with the Ahuja family and extends its heartfelt gratitude to the families of our armed forces, whose sacrifices continue to safeguard the Nation.

We salute Sqn Ldr Ajay Ahuja and all our bravehearts who made the supreme sacrifice in service of the Nation.

The first NGC connection in the colony was provided at the residence associated with the family of Shaheed Thakur Roshan Singh, the legendary freedom fighter and revolutionary from Shahjahanpur who made the ultimate sacrifice for India’s freedom.

A token of gratitude was presented to Shri Priyanshu Pratap Singh, great-great-grandson of Shaheed Thakur Roshan Singh, honouring a legacy of courage, sacrifice and service to the nation.

Prices of Commercial LPG cylinders, used by industries and hotels, are deregulated, market determined and revised normally on a monthly basis. Their consumption is less than 10% of the total LPG consumed in the country.

April 1 price increase in Commercial cylinder price is due to a 44% surge in the Saudi Contract Price: from $542/MT in March to $780/MT for April, as 20-30% of global LPG supplies are stuck in Strait of Hormuz.

In line with the commitment of Hon’ble PM @narendramodi, the domestic consumer continues to be comprehensively protected:
∙14.2 kg domestic cylinder: Rs 913 — price unchanged
∙PMUY beneficiary price: Rs 613 — price unchanged.

At current prices, OMCs are incurring under recovery of Rs 380/cylinder. Cumulative losses by end-May will reach approximately Rs 40,484 crore. Last year also, out of total losses of Rs 60,000 crore, Rs 30,000 crore were absorbed by Oil PSUs and Rs 30,000 crore by Government of India, in order to insulate the Indian citizen from high international LPG prices.

India’s domestic LPG price remains one of the the lowest in the world as compared to Pakistan: Rs 1,046. Sri Lanka: Rs 1,242. Nepal: Rs 1,208.

Rajasthan Refinery Limited in Jodhpur will be a key contributor to the vision of Viksit Bharat and India’s unprecedented quest towards energy security by enhancing domestic hydrocarbons production under the visionary and firm leadership of PM Sh @narendramodi Ji.

During my visit to review the progress of the refinery complex with Rajasthan CM Sh @BhajanlalBjp Ji, I got a bird’s eye view of the mega project from 62 m atop India’s largest aluminium DCU coke drum which stands at 111 mtrs with derrick.
This engineering marvel turns very long-chain vacuum residue into ~70% distillate yields like diesel, LPG, naphtha via thermal cracking.

Once fully functional, the refinery will transform the economy and provide direct and indirect employment opportunities to the youth.

• The 2.4 MMTPA capacity DCU enables CDU/VDU to process low-API crudes, boosting GRM at lower OPEX versus a hydrocracker-centric route.
• Along with vacuum residue, DCU can also process ETP sludge & slops, improving residue destruction and environmental stewardship.

• By-product power: pet coke enabling ~160 MW
• Coke drums (4 nos.): ID 7.6 m | Shell height 38 m | ~355 MT each | Wall 37–54 mm

Vidit Gujrathi bounces back strong! After a tough loss in Round 8 of the Candidates tournament, Vidit played a fantastic game with the White pieces to take down the World no.3 - Hikaru Nakamura.

The game was dynamically balanced till a point. Vidit had won a pawn in the middlegame, but Nakamura was getting it back. However, Nakamura chose the wrong capture 27...Nxe5? and Vidit found a nice tactical shot with 28. Bxe5 Bxe5 29.Nxd5! now gaining back the pawn.

Things fell apart very quickly for Nakamura after this. Vidit got a huge attack against the Black King, and finished off in style with a Rook sacrifice - forcing resignation!

This was a hugely important win for Vidit to stay in the fight for the top spot. Vidit has 4.5/9 points now - he will face Praggnanandhaa with the Black pieces on the 10th round.
