New — Asked Speaker Johnson about placing conditions on aid to California, and he tells us: “I think there should be conditions on that aid.” Said that’s his personal view before talking with the conference.

Also says “there’s some discussion” within the House GOP about tying the debt limit increase to the aid “but we will see how it goes.”

Aid to rebuild after natural disasters often is approved without any conditions and with significant bipartisan support. But there could be a big fight over the California aid in the coming weeks.

Another morning spent with the IDF. Incredible insight and I’ll write an article about it later. One takeaway is that the “genocide” screechers are going to look embarrassingly silly when all this is over. Utterly detached from reality.

You only really need to understand 3 things about the war in Gaza:

1. 7th October. I don’t think the Israelis have made this clear enough. It’s been forgotten in the raging Hamas disinformation campaign that immediately followed it. I still think Israel should release the 47 minute video. It proves conclusively that their war in Gaza, and all the actions they have taken since, are justified both morally and from a national security perspective.

2. The hostages. Their taking complicates everything. Their presence constrains Israeli operations in targeting Hamas and places enormous internal pressure on Israel’s government to ceasefire in exchange for their return. They are the single biggest factor stopping Israel from achieving their war aim to dismantle Hamas.

3. The tunnels. They are under every inch of Gaza. They require simultaneous over- and underground manoeuvre. They are attached to every mosque, school, hospital. You cannot dismantle Hamas without dismantling the tunnels, and that is why the damage in Gaza is so massive. Blowing the tunnels damages what is above, but there’s no other way to do it.

Once you understand these three things, you understand this war. All else is just noise.

BREAKING: The bodies of the six hostages found this week-end were discovered with gunshot wounds to the head and other parts of the body.

According to the initial autopsy findings, they were likely executed within the last 48 hours.

The examinations, which took place throughout the night, also revealed signs of systematic neglect. The bodies showed clear signs of deprivation of care, including a lack of showers for an extended period.

Additionally, there were indications of previous injuries sustained during the abduction.

Today, 109 years ago, a Jewish businessman named Leo Frank was lynched by an antisemitic mob in Georgia, USA, after being wrongfully convicted of murdering a young girl. His only "sin" was being born Jewish.

This happened before there was a Jewish state.
This happened before Israel fought in Gaza.
This happened before Israel "conquered".

This happened because antisemitism doesn't need reasons. It has accompanied the Jews since their inception.

Whenever we're persecuted, don't blame ourselves - it's not because of the actions of the IDF, and it's not because of the settlements; It's because we're Jews.
