2016: David Davis, "There will be no downside to Brexit at all, and considerable upside"
2024: David Davis, "Closer trading relations with Europe are just common sense"
The moral of this story is that, in democracies, power resides with the people - it is only ever temporarily lent to politicians. There is always another election or a term limit on the horizon. Your vote is powerful - use it and never let them take it for granted.
Badenoch tells #BBCLauraK that Johnson was a great prime minister, that partygate was “overblown”, that it was the rules that were the problem and that the Tories will vote against investing £22Bn in the NHS
Lessons learned - 0
“Renewal” - not happening
Arrogance - off the scale.
The Telegraph removed this story because instead of sympathy, people were laughing at their ridiculous greed.
Don't spread it The Telegraph wouldn't like that.
🤣
Obama: "I spent 8 years cleaning up that mess the Republicans left me, and then I hand it over to Trump. 75 straight months of job growth. And all he did with it is give a tax cut to the people who didn't need it, drive up the deficit in the process, now he wants to do it again"
Before Brexit the UK was about as rich as Germany, and richer than France.
Now it is much poorer than either, by 2030 we will be poorer than Poland, and by 2040 we will be poorer than all 27 EU countries.
The magic of Brexit.
@cathie_wood I even think that it's cruel to make horses do what they're forced to learn.
I'm in Spain and at a parade there was this beautiful horse being made to walk backwards, march, only lift the front hooves etc.
Little dignity for the horse, for our entertainment.
OMG! Kamala Harris just DESTROYED a pair of hecklers.
“Oh, you guys are at the wrong rally. I think you meant to go to the smaller one down the street.”
🤣
