I remember our law profs saying:
"If the law is on your side, pound on the law
If the facts are on your side, pound on the facts
If neither is on your side, pound on the table!"
‘ALL THIS FOR A MAN WHO SIMPLY DOESN’T WANT TO FACE THE LAW’
Sen. Risa Hontiveros pushed back against attempts to link minority senators to the Senate incident, saying the narrative being spread is politically motivated.
“There is only one reason some bad faith actors are trying very hard to make this controversial event about me and other Minority senators and the times we went home. All this for a man who simply doesn’t want to face the law. That’s it. That’s the whole story,” she said.
Hontiveros stressed that Senate employees had already gone home and that she was in the province for a scheduled engagement, rejecting what she described as politicization of routine movements.
She also called for accountability and urged Sen. Ronald Dela Rosa to cooperate with authorities, saying the public deserves a full, independent and transparent accounting of the incident.

Will never understand why *they hate Stephanie this much. Have y'all seen her latest vids and how she covers a lot of cases that needs to be put out there?
Just so you know.. somewhere in Hague rn, Sarah Duterte is laughing her ass off of how stupid the Filipinos are.. somewhere in those senate rooms, the cayetanos, padilla and the rest are cheering for the getaway car where Bato is inside, thinking, “ANG TATANGA NIYONG LAHAT”.
The International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued an arrest warrant for Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa in connection with the confirmed crimes against humanity charges against former President Rodrigo Duterte.
Dela Rosa is among those identified as alleged co-perpetrators in the ICC document containing the charges.
una, inamin ni cayetano na ginamit ‘yong sasakyan niya para makapasok si bato sa senate. inamin din ni bato na pumasok siya para sa change of leadership (na tinanggi ni cayetano no’ng una). ngayon, literal pinoprotektahan ni cayetano si bato sa loob ng senado. it’s clear as day.
seeing senators protect bato while regular people would be arrested immediately is exactly why so many filipinos are angry. there’s one law for the powerful and another for everyone else.
